The Crafty Side

I finally got around to making a "chic" wipe case!  I have been meaning to do it for a while, but wasn't too happy with the fabric available at the stores nearby.

A Hobby Lobby just opened up near our house and I found a beautiful light pink and white damask linen fabric yesterday and was inspired to finally go through with the project.

I also found a beautiful rhinestone "A" to add to the case for a little personal touch.

I bought half a yard of fabric, but I probably only needed a quarter to finish the project and I am thinking about making a matching changing pad with the rest of the fabric and sewing some black, raised-dot chenille fabric on one side...that or possibly making a blanket, but we'll see.  I don't have a sewing machine so I would have to sew everything by hand and I think a blanket or lovey would take much longer to sew than a changing pad!

I am making a friend a wipe case for a shower gift and am really excited to do another one!  My friend Jamie suggested I sell them and I totally would love to do that because it would be so fun to make more, be creative with the designs (like if it was for a boy rather than a girl), and also to make people happy!  We'll see if anyone asks, LOL! :)

My in-laws are coming tomorrow to visit Abby for the weekend, so I need to do some cleaning.  (And maybe some more crafting!)
