22 Weeks 4 Days Pregnant

I apologize for just getting around to taking belly pictures at almost 23 weeks along!  I was sick all weekend and let me tell you, while being sick is never fun, it is especially not fun when you have to watch a toddler and are pregnant!  We think it was a 24-hour bug that I caught from Rock because we both seemed to have the same symptoms albeit a few days apart.  Either way, I am so happy I am feeling better and that, so far, Abby doesn't seem to have contracted the illness.

Here are my 22W4D pictures:

Round belly!

I feel like I am carrying Shane completely differently than I did Abby.  He is much lower.

Little Man is growing...he should be at about a pound this week and 11 inches.

What I see when I look down.

So Abby and I went to MOPS last Monday and I loved it.  I met a ton of really cool ladies and a lot of them are at the same point in their lives as I am (i.e., mothering a toddler, pregnant with their second or third, military spouse, etc.).  Each group of about 8-10 ladies also had an older woman in the group who serves as a mentor for us since she's been where we are and done what we are doing.  Our "Titus Woman" is Brenda and she is absolutely great!  She is a sweet, funny and sassy old Texas lady and I love it!

For the first time in her life Abby went to the provided childcare at MOPS.  She has been watched before by others, but they were either family or friends, so I was hoping that going straight into a 3-hour program wouldn't be too much for her to handle.  Well, Miss Sassy Pants walked right into the room, went straight up to some toys and started playing.  She didn't even look back!!  I was so relieved but then there was a part of me that was a little sad how easy it was for her to be like "Peace out, Mom!"  When I went to pick her up at the end of the meeting the worker said she was perfectly fine the whole time, went potty for them in the big girl potty, ate her snack, did her craft and played outside all without any issues!  I was so proud of her.  She was crying when I picked her up, but the worker said it had just started and I could tell that Abby was just plain exhausted and that was the only reason she was crying.

Showing off her new Princess Abby dress.

Being a Princess takes a lot out of a girl!

All and all I'd definitely recommend looking up a group in your area and getting connected with other moms, especially if you are in a military family and are new to an area since it is such a great way to meet so many people at one time.

Rubbing Daddy's head.

Abby and I also went to gymnastics, storytime, Chik-fil-A and a playdate with one of Abby's most favorite little girls last week.  Abby's friend, Rachel, is four and I met her mom at Chik-fil-A when the girls were playing in the play area, and it turns out we do a lot of the same stuff like MOPS and storytime.  Well, Abby just adores little Miss Rachel and Rachel is so sweet to Abby and holds her by the hand and plays school with her or whatever else their sweet little minds make up.  It is so nice to see them playing so naturally together.  Rachel also has a little brother and Abby just loves walking up to him and saying hi or sweetly rocking him in his car seat as she says "shhhh, go shweep!"  I love seeing how caring she can be.

I got a video of Abby singing her favorite song ever, the chorus of the theme song to the movie "Rango."  She does this all the time and the best part is that she adds in the hands as if she is lifting her song up to the heavens!  Please excuse the living room and the fact that she is only half dressed.  This was taken on the day I felt the worst, so suffice it to say, nothing got picked up that day until Daddy did it at the end of the day.  Also, don't you love how she put her Princess shoes on me?

Enjoy the rest of your week and I will try very hard to get the Week 23 pictures up on time!!
