Ultrasound Pictures

Today I went to Johns Hopkins University Medical Center and got an ultrasound to make sure everything looked good with the baby's development.  We got some really good images!  It was so cool to see the baby opening and closing his/her mouth and also punching and kicking.  At one point the baby stretched all the way out and then rested his/her legs up along the wall of the gestational sack, in an almost "I am getting super comfy" kind of way.  It was so fun to see!  That specific image is the last in the row of pictures.  The heartbeat is 150 bpm and you could see that the baby has ten fingers and toes, which are all good things!

Here are the images from today:

  1. Hi Sam. Your baby blog is an absolutely brilliant idea! It reminds me of the cooking blog posted by the wife in the movie Julie and Julia (I was forced to watch it, OK?). Will a "Keeping Up With The Stevenses" movie be far behind?

For the record, I think it'll be a boy. I know this because one of the sonogram pics looks like Rock kicked back in a chaise lounge chair with a smile on his face. He probably knows a rib-eye is on the way. Ha! Ha!

There is a problem, however. You and Rock are both so attractive and intelligent, how are we supposed to know where the baby's good looks and intelligence came from? Ha! Ha!

Love you. Take care of my Grandbaby!

P.S. - BTW, if "Grandpa" is taken, I shall be known as "Go-Daddy". Seriously. That oughta secure me "Grandpa". Ha! Ha!

  3. Ronnie, thank you for the sweet message! And I totally agree with you! I feel like we are going to have a boy, too! The second I saw the baby stretch out and throw it's legs up all Rock-style, I was convinced, LOL!

I am taking long walks(~3-5 miles)every day the weather permits and still eating lots of healthy food...with an occasional Oreo thrown in there, but it's for the baby, not me. I promise! :)

Oh and as far as what you want to be called, I think anything goes. My mom decided on “Mimi” and my dad is “PapĂ,” so if you want to be “Go-Daddy” or “Grandpa,” you have full reign!

Also, I know you like Chick Flicks...NBD. ;)

Amber, I can't get over how big the baby is either...or at least how developed he/she already is! I mean, it's like a mini-person already but it's still soooo tiny! I am so in love! Thank you for all your comments and love!

    xoxo
    Sam
