Bottom side shot so you can see how far she sticks out (sorry for the face I'm making, I didn't think it'd be in the picture, lol)
Top side shot so you can see how far up she goes
I can still (barely) see my feet!

I also went to the doctor this week and he said that everything looked great but Abby was measuring small (26 weeks instead of 28 weeks), which is weird because at the last two appointments she was measuring a week ahead. He said that it could just be the way she was positioned on that particular day or it could also be because I am a lot taller than most people and have a very long torso so Abby just has more room to hang out than most babies do. He didn't seem too concerned so I am just hoping she continues to get all of the delicious nummies I am eating and grows big and strong so she'll be ready to brave a Maryland winter! I am also seeing the doctor every two weeks now until week 36 when I will switch to every week.
I can't believe how far we've come, but at the same time, I can't believe how far we've left to go! I am trying to be patient though and just enjoy everyday for what it is. It will definitely be nice to see the doctor every two weeks now because so much is going to change from week to week because Abby will be growing so quickly in these following weeks. The doctor warned me that once I hit 33 weeks, I will become even more uncomfortable than I already am (although I am pretty OK right now) and gave me a few tips to help minimize discomfort. Some were as simple as sleeping on my left side as much as possible and elevating the foot of our bed by 0.5 inch, both in an effort to help with blood return to both my heart and the placenta. Your vena cava and aorta (main vein and artery in your body) run more along your right side of your body and when you sleep on the right side, you put unnecessary pressure on those two major vessels. Sleeping on your left helps with that as well as kidney emptying which, when working properly, also helps decrease swelling. So, I am implementing those suggestions and hope they help.
Abby is also the hiccup queen! As we speak she is hiccuping to her heart's content. Sometimes it lasts for a minute and others it lasts for 10! I read it is a good sign because it means that she is practicing breathing as well as swallowing, so I am glad she is doing her homework! :)
Alright, I am off to take the furbabies for a walk before it rains again. I hope you all have fantastic week!
