6 Weeks 2 Days and Feeling Pregnant

This week I definitely started to feel more "pregnant" because I started to have more waves of nausea.  They aren't nearly as bad as they were with Abby, but I still need to sit down through them.  I also have been getting weird aversions in the sense that they come and go, whereas with Abby things that made me ill stuck through until the second trimester.  I don't know if I over did the bacon and meat thing but I am slowly starting to feel aversions toward them.

This week you can definitely see my belly growing with the baby...well, I am not sure if it is bloat or baby or a combination of the two, but I know they say you show earlier with #2.  I started to have a barely recognizable bump with Abby when I was 8 weeks because I remember my friend Jessie coming out to talk to me while I cleaned my car and she was so excited to see my tiny bump.  Maybe I am showing a week earlier with this baby because when I wear tight shirts you can definitely see some roundness poking through.

6 Weeks 2 Days

Abby and I didn't do anything terribly exciting this week due to my morning sickness but we were able to get out and go to my friend Kimi's house for dinner last night.  She has two sons aged 3 and 2 and they got along wonderfully with Abby.  They had tons of toys and trikes and tools and SHOES so Abby was in heaven.  At one point in the night she found a pair of the boys' boots and insisted we put them on her.  She wore them for the rest of the night and when I took them off as we prepared to leave, her feet were a sweaty mess.  But hey, they made her happy and fashion sometimes means sacrificing comfort, am I right??

Yesterday I also had a severe lapse in parenting judgement when I allowed Abby to eat her cheddar bunnies out of the box as I quickly went to the next room.  As I walked away I heard the distinct trinkle of hundreds of little cheddar bunnies hitting the coffee table.  I turned around and saw this (please tell me this isn't the best "I didn't do it face" you've seen in a while!):

Abby has become obsessed with trying to put on my makeup.  It is cute and kinda sorta worrisome because I definitely want her to be able to be a kid and enjoy childhood and not worry about stuff like makeup for many, many years to come.  But I also realize she is really young and she is probably just trying to copy me so it is mostly just cute!

She has also been really into being naked or at least just in her diaper, as you will notice in a lot of the photos I take of her at home.  She mirrors this desire to be constantly nakey in her baby by always ripping off any clothes or diapers we put on her.  I guess toddlers are nature's true exhibitionists!

I have my first OB appointment this upcoming Friday and I will be sure to write about any information we find out then.  Also, I added a poll on the right hand side of the blog to see what my readers think the sex of Baby #2 is, so please be sure to vote!
