I took some pictures from around the downstairs after Abby had played for 30 minutes. Note the level of destruction that she wrought in that time!
Abby in action
Under sink lock (much to her chagrin: see below)
Bumbo seat in kitchen
Corner of dining room
Boppy, pulled out ottoman that hides electric socket that computer is plugged into, baby monitor and baby crayon on floor
Our makeshift stair gate and pool noodle babyproofing job
Abby's toy corner after she's been in it
Our coffee table with rubber guards, baby crayon and ripped up coloring paper on floor
All our electric sockets that aren't actively in use look like this
I found Abby in kitchen decidedly NOT getting into anything (or so her look would have us think)
Our entertainment system with Abby's books, toy basket, diapering things and diaper basket at very top
My rocking chair with pool noodle corners
So as you can see, she has taken over! But we wouldn't have it any other way. Once we move into our next house, I think it will be easier to separate the family areas from the baby area because hopefully we will have a playroom for her so that if it gets destroyed by our little tornado, we can always just close the door and the problem is solved (for a little while anyway).
My parents were in town for the Fourth of July and I will post another blog with some pictures from their time here!
