Toddler 'Tivities

So things have been a little crazy around here and I will get to updating everyone about the craziness once I know all the details for sure.

In the meantime, I would love to update you on what Little Mamasita is up to these days.

"No more pictures, paparazzi!"

As always, she LOVES to dance and when I say "loves" I mean she will dance at any opportunity she gets like to the rhythm of the washing machine or to the sound of the ringtone of my cellphone!  She is so fun to watch and it is crazy how she has this natural rhythm that is just bursting to get out.  I was thinking about how she has always seemed transfixed by music.  When she was a newborn she would stop crying and listen if we put music on and as soon as she could move her arms and legs at will she has been moving them to the beat.  But then I remembered that she was like that even before she was born...remember THIS post?  Yeah, she was jumping around to music at 16 weeks gestation!!

Playing XBOX with her Daddy

She also really enjoys helping me around the house, albeit at her timing and according to her moods.  She likes dusting, sweeping, picking up her toys and putting them in the toy box and getting the dogs bowls for me when I need them, among other things.

Napping on Daddy

I am pretty sure she just likes feeling like a "big girl" because she recently started to want her sippy cup top taken off so she can drink out of it like a cup.  One day she refused to drink anything unless I took the lid off...I guess I should be used to this as she is one of the most stubborn people I know! :)  Also, keeping with the whole "big girl" theme, she likes putting on and wearing our shoes and clothes and she is OBSESSED with our cell phones.  She can find a way to ninja our phones away from us if they are out in plain sight and usually we won't realize it until we see her smiling in a corner, her face illuminated by the screen...needless to say, we have a lot of "toddler apps" to keep her busy AND locked out of the rest of our phones.

Oh and I would have to say that BY FAR her favorite activity is chasing the dogs.  ALL.DAY.LONG.  If the dogs are on the same floor and she isn't sleeping, there is a 99% chance she is chasing them.  The upside is that it helps her burn off some energy and it also has helped our more rotund dog lose a little weight!  (I will say that Bella has gotten a lot more "grayed" too from all the chasing.)

Besides being Mommy to Little Miss, I have been keeping busy going to pilates and yoga classes on base four times a week.  I have found a love for pilates and how awesome it has made me feel!  I hope I can always find a pilates class no matter where we are!

Rock is up to the usual and recently told me that he has started to enjoy running for the first time ever because it has become a time of reflection for him.  I think it is great he is enjoying it because he will always have to do it for his job so he might as well like it!!

I am about to go make some delicious noshes for the upcoming Superbowl.  Have a great week!
