15 Weeks

Well would you look at me, getting my photos up on time this week!  Pretty impressive!

15 Weeks Pregnant with Baby #2

A couple friends mentioned to me that I look a lot more tan now than I do when I was pregnant with Abby and to that I a) laugh because I can't tan AT ALL and b) say it is definitely just the difference in lighting between the two places.  In Maryland we had two long fluorescent bulbs on either side of our mirror and they were BRIGHT.  Guests that stayed with us even commented on how the lights startled them at first because they weren't expecting them to be that bright.  Needless to say, the big bright lights accentuated my naturally super light skin and made it look even whiter than it is!

We got a lot of our "To-Do List" items crossed off this week and it feels good to have all those things done!  In addition to the errands and chores we had to do this week, we even got to shop at a BOGO Scholastic Book Fair event and got a lot of really cool books.  Abby is really into snakes right now, so we got a big book about snakes for her and you can often hear her "ssssssssssssss"-ing in her play room as she flips through the pages haha!

I have been doing a great exercise routine called "10 Minutes Solutions: Prenatal Pilates" and I love how strong it is making me feel.  Each time I do pilates, I think to myself how strong it is helping me get so that I can be strong during labor and delivery.  Abby's L&D was only 8 hours with 10 minutes of pushing and I'd love to keep up with that trend, if not beat it by a few hours of labor and few minutes of pushing!  I definitely recommend this DVD to all pregnant women wanting to keep in shape during pregnancy!

I have been feeling Baby #2 kicking and punching a lot more and I love it every time.  Most the time I feel him/her, I am sitting down or am on my back, but lately I have started to feel the movements while I am standing or when I don't expect it.  It is such an incredible feeling!

We will find out Baby #2's sex in 4.5 weeks!  I can't wait to find out and to be able to start preparing!  I kept all of Abby's clothes and other baby things, so if it is a girl, she will be set!  If it is a boy, I will have to start hitting up the stores to get him some clothes and blankets!  Luckily, we did a duck theme for a lot of the baby towels, blankets and jammies from when Abby was a newborn, so if it is a boy, we will at least have all that stuff for him.

Next Saturday Abby and I are headed to Georgia for about 2 weeks to see and visit with my family before my brother leaves to study abroad in Italy!  We will miss him but know he will have a great time, so no one is too upset he is going.  It will be so nice to see everyone since we won't see them at Christmas because my parents plan on joining John in Italy (jealous!).  I am looking forward to our trip!

Tonight we are going to have a laid-back family dinner around our coffee table as we watch the Olympic Opening Ceremony on NBC.  I am so excited for the Olympics and I already know I will have a little buddy to watch the games with because Abby loves watching gymnastics with all the tumbling.  After she watches it she runs around the room and pretends to do it herself...haha, I love it!

GO USA!!!
