Shane's Baby Shower

Yesterday was Shane's baby shower and we had an AMAZING time.  I am so lucky to have such amazing in-laws!

My mother-in-law (MIL), Janie, and sister-in-law (SIL), Frances, threw the shower at Frances's house in Houston and they had her place decorated so beautifully for the party!

The hostesses!

Beautiful cake table with cake that said "Welcome Baby Shane!"

Some of the cute decorations.

Table with an amazing spread of delicious food!

Gorgeous tables and chairs.

My mom, Abby and I left home for Houston at about 10:15ish and got to Frances's house about 12:50, so we made amazing time as it's usually a 3 hour 15+ minute trip.  It was nice to get there before everyone too so we had some time to see everything all set up and to freshen up from our road trip!

Once everyone got there and started eating food and talking, the place really came to life!

My mom, Paula, me and Grandma Gloria

Abby got presents, too!  Tia Frances was helping her paint her toenails "Princess Pink!"

After visiting for a bit with everyone, I got summoned over to the gift-opening chair to open all the amazing presents everyone brought for Shane.  I got some pictures with my mom and MIL before we started opening:

"The Moms"--MIL Janie and my mom

Hahaha look at that face Abby is making...ice cold stare!

I love this picture of us all!  My sash said "Mom to Be"

Abby and cousin Kylee helped me open up all the beautiful gifts that everyone brought and Shane got completely spoiled!  I also noticed a theme in a lot of the gifts--lots of football stuff!  I guess that is fitting since he a) is a boy, b) has relatives from TEXAS and c) has a maternal grandpa who played college football!  Of course he will be encouraged to do anything he likes whether that is ballet, tennis, badminton...but let's face it, he'll definitely be exposed to a little football bias in this family.

Some Texans football shirts from Grandma Gloria

Super fluffy and adorable changing mat from Shane's Great Grandma Marylin

After all the presents were opened, it was time to cut the sweet cake that Frances had made for Shane and it was a DELICIOUS cake, too!  Lucky for Rock, Frances even packed two HUGE pieces for us to bring home for him for when he gets out of the field.

Frances and me right before we cut the cake.

We had such a great time and it was so nice seeing everyone that it was sad to pack up and say goodbye!  But I am so glad I have all the pictures for the memories and so I can show Shane just how loved he was by family and friends even BEFORE he was born.

I truly am blessed with an amazing family!
