I just wanted to give everyone a quick update after my appointment yesterday. The midwife checked me and told me that I was 1 cm dilated and 75% effaced and all that is normal and just my body getting ready to have a baby! She checked for any leakage in amniotic fluid by doing a quick litmus test and the test came back negative so she thinks the cramping is just me dilating and nothing serious.
They told me to just continue to drink lots of fluids, exercise and eat properly and that they are sure Abby will come when she is ready. I am just happy that everything is OK! And I am also happy that I am dilating! I have heard some of my friends say they weren't even dilated when they go into labor, so it is nice to know that I at least have the ball rolling...now I just hope it continues its forward momentum and doesn't hit any grassy patches! ;)

Yay! Now just hang in there a few more days til you hit full term and then that sweet baby girl can come any time!

ReplyDeleteI'm so Excited for you! Every time I think of it I start humming the tune to The Final Countdown by Europe! LOL? I can't wait to meet Miss Abby!
