So even though I am wearing maternity pants in the above picture, I am still wearing my Bella Band because it helps keep my pants up even better and that is why there is a lot of white fabric. It is my maternity jeans top, my Bella Band and my undershirt! Just FYI...but MAN, look at that BELLY!
I'd better love my baby bump now before it's gone!!
Rock (aka my pet monkey) and Me (I was wearing a witch costume, vampire teeth and a masquerade mask so I think I am an...Enigma?)
Preggo Neighbors! Me (38 Weeks) and Jessie (33 Weeks)
Trick-or-Treating lasted only an hour last night even though it had an alloted block of two hours, so Rock and I went in and watched a movie before bed. It was a pretty low-key night, but we never want to get too old to not dress up, so we made the most of it. Halloweens past here in Maryland have been a little crazy (parties until late at night) but then again they were all over weekends AND no one was pregnant, so it makes sense that last night wasn't too wild! ;)
I have my 38 weeks OB appointment tomorrow and hopefully they can tell me if we've made any more progress. On Friday I thought it was gametime after I came home for a walk because I was having pretty intense and regular contractions that were probably about 10 to 15 minutes apart, but then after eating something they went away so it was just a false alarm. I am not too bummed about it because it still means that labor is near, but man am I ready to not be pregnant because I ACHE!
When you are pregnant your body produces a hormone called relaxin that helps your ligaments and joints stretch to accommodate your growing baby as well as prepare your body to give birth. There is a cartilaginous joint between the two halves of your hip bone called the pubic symphysis and the relaxin can make that joint extra stretchy which is good to help baby to come out, but BAD when mommy has to walk around with all the weight of her and baby bearing down on that joint. The only way I can describe it to someone who hasn't felt it is that it feels like you just got off the most bumpy horseback ride/bike ride of your life and you are just sore and achy all over in that "region." It even hurts to open your legs to take steps or lift your leg to put your pants on. But I know little Abby will stay put until she is ready to come out and that at the most that means three more weeks, so I am not too upset!
There was just a huge crash in the living room so I'd better go make sure that all is well and both dogs are alive! Have a great week!!

Girl you scared me!!! I've been checking your blog every other day and when there was no update, I thought, ahhhhh she's given birth!!! lol Abby will be here so soon! How crazy!! I feel like the time has flown by :)
