10 Weeks 4 Days and Change of Command

Whew!  We have been busy the last few days!  I wasn't able to take a belly shot at 10 weeks exactly, so here are three from this morning at 10 Weeks 4 Days:

My parents were in town this past weekend and it was so great to see them. They were able to make it for Rock's quick Change of Command Ceremony on Friday and it was so nice to share that experience with them.  The day of the ceremony was beautiful with big, blue skies and a nice, cool breeze.  The actual ceremony was at 9 AM so it was early enough that while it was warm, it wasn't overwhelmingly hot for those on the field or for the spectators.

We are all so proud of him!  After the ceremony, we had a reception in an air conditioned building across the street.  Rock got Chik-fil-a to cater the event and also got a whole bunch of fruit, meat and cheese trays.  It was awesome and I am fairly certain that Abby ate one whole fruit tray by herself!

The weekend seemed to fly by, but we really enjoyed seeing my parents and Abby got her third weekend in a row of constant attention from relatives.  I think we are going to spoil her for life if we keep this up!

My parents watched Abby on Saturday so that Rock and I could go out on a date.  We went to a late lunch/early dinner at Olive Garden and then went to see "The Avengers" at a movie theater nearby.  This was the first movie we have seen (or really wanted to see) together since December 2010!!!  It was a great day and my parents said Abby had so much fun, she didn't even realize we were gone!

I had the world's biggest craving for cupcakes this past weekend, so I asked some friends in the area for some suggestions and pretty much everyone said "Hey Cupcake!" in Austin was the best.  So my mom was a champ and while she was still in Austin, she drove over there so she could bring some cupcakes back to me!  And they were worth it!  They were delicious and fully satisfied my craving!!

My parents left on Sunday and then Rock and I had to get back to reality and tackle some chores.  We actually got a ton done and then were able to relax together before it was time for bed.

We have a pretty slow week coming up with not a whole lot going on, but I think it will be good to just slow down for a little bit and have some time alone with Abby before more guests (Rock's parents) come this weekend!

Here are two pictures I took of Abby cuddling with Bella who must have been extremely tired because it is rare for her to let Abby touch her let alone completely lay on top of her!

Oh and here are my beautiful Five Year Anniversary roses Rock bought me, one week later and they still look amazing!

My next OB appointment is next Friday (7/6) and I am excited to hear that little stinker on the fetal doppler!

Enjoy the last week of June!  It is going to be a scorcher for us:

Oh, Texas!
