The appointment went well and really fast. We got there at 10 for my 10:30 appointment per their recommendation and it took me two minutes to register so we actually were seen by 10:06 and out of our appointment by like 10:25! I guess that is the benefit of showing up early and having an appointment on a weekend.
Anyway, I was brought back alone first so the technician could get measurement pictures of the baby. She said based on the measurements the official due date is 1/18/2013. Then she went back out and got Rock so we could see the "cute stuff" as she put it.
We got the see and hear the baby's heartbeat which is a sound that never ceases to be amazing. Then she showed us a shot where we could see the baby moving around and it looked like there was a little dancing going on...if so, that would be Abby's perfect playmate! We all giggled at the silly dance and then decided that the baby looked very much like a little gummy bear as it wiggled around, hence the new nick name. I am sure it is not original by any means, but I still think it's cute!
We had a really nice time with Rock's sister and our nephew and I am glad they were able to come. As is tradition, Frances brought Abby tons of awesome presents to spoil her with and her presents did NOT disappoint as you can see below:

My parents are coming to town this Thursday until Sunday, Rock takes command Friday and then the following weekend Rock's parents are coming to visit, so we will be a busy little family for a while. I will make sure to update the blog as soon as I get a chance!
